Desert Mountain SELPA serves as the region’s California PBIS Technical Assistance Center, housing multiple programs in our Prevention and Intervention Department– including Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.
As members of the Core Leadership Team, Angela Mgbeke and I represent the needs of San Bernardino County and all communities housed within region ten when it comes to high-quality implementation.

is the Program Manager over the Prevention and Intervention and Career Technical Education departments at the Desert Mountain SELPA, supporting schools and districts with training, coaching, and technical assistance for Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Cultural Responsiveness, and Restorative Practices as well as Work Ability I Project (WAI) and Transitional Partnership Program (TPP). With over 20 years in education, she has served as a classroom teacher, Social Emotional Learning Teacher on Assignment, and site administrator. She has a passion for teaching the whole child and is committed to building capacity for sustainable systems that support all learners.
is currently a Prevention and Intervention Project Manager at Desert Mountain SELPA. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from CSUSB and a Master’s in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University. In her role, Angela works with school districts/ LEA’s by providing facilitation, coaching and technical assistance to design and implement a multi-tiered system of support through educational equity. With a focus in executing preventative systems, she provides regional professional development trainings on an array of topics such as PBIS, Restorative Practices, Social Emotional Learning, Cultural Responsiveness and Bully Prevention. Through her journey in education, Angela has acquired a passion for equitable practices and has dedicated time to volunteering in additional aspects of education. In 2020 she was voted into the board of directors at Pathways to College K-8 School. As a school board member, her goal is to work collaboratively with stakeholders and best utilize her strengths to ultimately impact the lives of the students.
