The Stanislaus County Office of Education serves as the region’s California PBIS Technical Assistance Center, housing multiple programs in our Instructional Support Services Department– including Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.
As members of the Core Leadership Team Gina Smith and I represent the needs of Stanislaus County and all communities housed within region six when it comes to high-quality implementation.

is the Director1, MTSS at the Stanislaus County Office of Education. She has worked in the field of education for 24 years as a classroom teacher, induction consultant/ coordinator/director and love of everything SEL. As a part of her work, she is involved in bringing the SUMS/MTSS initiative to region 6, Social Emotional Learning and Wellness Community of Practice facilitator and COE Lead, and the implementation of SCOEs Lifeguard Initiative for mental health wellbeing. Gina serves on several local and regional committees including BIR accreditation teams. In her off hours, you can often find Gina hanging with family and friends or traveling to new places in the US and beyond.
serves as the MTSS Project Coordinator for the Stanislaus County Office of Education. After receiving her Bachelor's degree from CSU Stanislaus, she continued at CSU Stanislaus to obtain her teaching credentials. Kendall has worked diligently to support the implementation of PBIS at all schools that she has worked at by focusing on the whole child. A former junior high school science teacher, she knows the importance of creating positive student-teacher relationships to help students become successful. Furthermore, she is dedicated to ensuring all students receive the supports that they need. She has received her Administrative Credential and Master's degree from CSU Stanislaus and most recently served as an elementary school administrator.
